Meng Song

My name is Meng Song. I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Connecticut. My primary research interests lie in applied microeconomics, with a focus on labor economics, health economics, and the economics of education.
In parallel with my doctoral studies, I am also pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, where I am building expertise in natural language processing and empirical machine learning methods. I enjoy using these tools to analyze diverse unstructured data, reveal meaningful patterns, and deepen the precision and impact of my research.
I also serve as a Quantitative Graduate Assistant at UConn Center for Advancing Research, Methods, and Scholarship in Gun Injury Prevention (ARMS).
